Everyone Has a Story, Let Me Tell Yours…

Bio

Hey all! I'm Brian. Originally I hail from Albuquerque, New Mexico and have been in Nashville, Tennessee since 2013. I started photography during college back in 2004. Using a cheap 35mm camera and developing photos in a cramped darkroom was a great way to hold my sanity. Told I was a natural right away, but didn’t take it seriously at first despite my work being shown in local art shows every semester of college.

I finally did take photography more seriously when I moved to West Virginia in 2009. I had nothing else to do in a small town and knew no one. The first friend I made was a photographer for the local newspaper. We are still friends to this day. He pushed me to get better and invest in it. It was also a form of therapy for me. After realizing I wanted to attempt photography full time I briefly moved back to Albuquerque and attended various photography classes at the University of New Mexico, earning about 8 certificates. I heard about the growth of Nashville through a friend here and decided to wing it. I packed what I could fit in my Jeep and moved to Nashville.

With a long time interest in video production and filmmaking, in 2016 I attended the Nashville Film institute to break into the industry as a way to get more work. I love being behind the camera. Since then I have acquired the right equipment to keep my momentum going. The potential art I can make through video and photos is what drives me.

My work has been described as edgy, emotive, thought provoking, and beautiful. I am constantly working to be better at what I do. Making people happy through art makes me happy.

Cheers!
